I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's proximity to a beautiful Icelandic horse farm, making the rooms feel better than expected. However, being close to the entrance meant hearing other travelers pass by. The service was top-notch with helpful and professional staff who provided valuable information and assistance throughout my stay. The location was ideal for visiting the Jokulsarlon lagoon early morning while the dining experience offered a variety of delicious options. Although the location was a bit confusing initially, the free coffee and tea provided added to the comfort. A good spot if you're on the South Coast journey.

The rooms, although not the coziest, were clean, quiet, and relatively spacious, featuring a double bed, a single bed, and a well-maintained attached bathroom with a stand-up shower. The service was exceptional, with staff being exceedingly polite and engaging, offering valuable insights into Icelandic culture and history. The dining options were below average, lacking freshness compared to other properties in Iceland, but the restaurant on-site provided decent meals, albeit at a slightly higher price point. Overall, the hotel offers a convenient location and pleasant service, but dining could be improved.

The separate building location was ideal for morning views but required extra bundling up in winter. Just a 5-minute walk to the restaurant. However, the rooms were too hot at night for a comfortable sleep.
